Bridlington Trade & Custom Show and new ScooterNova magazine

The nights are drawing in, October is almost over, which can only mean it’s time again for the annual BSRA Scooter Trade & Custom Show. Held again this year at The Spa Complex in Bridlington, Yorkshire, it all begins this Friday the 26th October at the Spa where the  scooterists co-operative known as VFM have live bands The Smiths Ltd and Basketcase as well as DJs there to entertain the masses.

Saturday is when LCGB take over, organising the traders and custom scooters at the same venue, with up to 100 machines to admire, many of which will have graced the pages of ScooterNova over the last 18 months or so. Saturday evening sees VFM back in control with the legendary Bad Manners taking to the stage for a grand finale.
There will of course be a ScooterNova magazine stall at the event on Saturday, the magazine proud as always to be supporting fellow scooterists organising scooter events, and we’ll be sponsoring a trophy again too.
The BRAND NEW edition 10 will be available from our stall (which at the time of writing is apparently in the entrance foyer, just after you bought your show tickets), along with back editions and various merchandise including storage slip cases, limited edition poster prints and T-shirts. We will also have copies of Sticky’s new Spanners Manual for sale as well.

Edition 10 includes an exclusive feature on the very recently restored 1980s custom Lambretta Wake, a scooter that always features highly on people’s ‘Top 10’ lists of all time greatest custom scooters.
Coincidentally, the magazine also includes a report from the inaugural Race the Waves beach race at Bridlington that took place in September, and some of those race scooters will be in the show too.

We also have a report on the North Coast 500, an event which more and more scooter riders are enjoying, as well as an exclusive road test on the new Casa Performance SST265 Lambretta which was recently ridden to the UK from Italy as part of the engine’s R&D.

Other events featured include the Cheshire 100, Isle of Wight scooter rally, Mersea Island, 4 Nations and Woolacombe, while scooters that will have you studying them in minute detail are a restoration Douglas Vespa with a difference, a custom German GS150 from Austria and a gorgeous Lambretta TV175 Series 3 with a modern touch to a classic style paint job.

Add to this the regular product news and reviews (no advertorials in ScooterNova magazine, just honest reviews from personal experience), all on 100 quality pages with credible articles you can both enjoy and trust, and this is why more and more people are turning to ScooterNova magazine for their scooter fix!

  1. Hi Scooter Nova,

Many thanks for your editorial of the inogural BACKFIRE ‘Race the Waves’ beach event.
It was a most enjoyable experience to organise this unique gathering of wonderful people and their machinery.

The very first event of its type in the UK and making motoring history for the East Yorkshire town of Bridlington too.

We now have in the planning, a two day event at the Bridlington beach for 2019, with a much greater support from the East Riding of Yorkshire Council too.

Roll on the summer of 2019.

    Kind regards,

    Paul.
