Our final video round-up of the 2017 scooter rally season takes us from August to November, riding from beautiful summer sunshine to the pitch black of the Lincolnshire Wolds. If you attended Strictly Scooters Continue reading
I think it is to fair to say that from a personal point of view, this year’s Isle of Wight scooter rally was one of my favourites. It’s over 30 years since I first rode over there for a scooter rally and aside from the great weather, the journey, the laughs, the scooters, the fun and so much more went together perfectly to make Continue reading
Roll up roll up! Ladies and gentlemen, have we got something for you lovely people at this year’s Isle of Wight scooter rally!
All weekend at the ScooterNova magazine stall on the official rally campsite at Smallbrook Stadium near Ryde, we will have a pair of our ScooterNova riders, ready and waiting for your face to complete the picture!
We’ve had this ‘peep board’ specially made so you can all race a ScooterNova scooter with a fellow ScooterNova rider, and even turn your Facebook, Instagram or Twitter profile image into a magazine cover with our compliments.
And in case you forget your selfie stick, we’ll have a camera somewhere nearby to capture the moment.
So come along, join in the fun, snap away and share your photos of the day you were a cover star of The Rider’s Choice magazine. Just don’t forget to please add #ScooterNova
Feel free to tag us in your posts, as well as adding the hashtag too, whether on your own pages, club sites, groups, the ScooterNova page, or any others you post on. Spread the word, enjoy the ride and have a great Isle of Wight scooter rally!
Edition 3 of ScooterNova is out now. Join us at the Isle of Wight to celebrate the launch of the latest edition, or buy online here.
To celebrate the launch of edition 3 of ScooterNova magazine, we’d like to invite readers – new and old – to join us for a drink at the Isle of Wight scooter rally over the coming August Bank Holiday weekend.
With a love of classic Italian scooters shared between many of us in mind, our friends at Rimini Lambretta Centre took our shopping list and returned with a few bottles of Limoncello, the famous Italian liqueur. We’ll be cracking open the bottles on Saturday 26 August so feel free to pay us a visit, have a drink, a chat, browse a magazine, and if you want to bring some olives to the party you’ll be more than welcome too!
You will find the ScooterNova magazine stall on the official scooter rally campsite at Smallbrook Stadium near Ryde and we’ll be trading there from Friday until Sunday.
If you’re going to the Isle of Wight Scooter Rally over the August Bank holiday weekend, look out for our exclusive, limited edition ScooterNova IOW rally stickers and postcards (so you can write home and tell your mates how good it was!).
They will be in the rally goody bags given out to the first 1000 or so scooter riders on the official rally campsite.
We will have a few more to give away from our stall, also at the Smallbrook Stadium site, but you’ll need to be quick!!
Ride safe and see you there.
(The ScooterNova magazine stall will be open from Friday to Monday in the dealer village on the official rally campsite, at Smallbrook Stadium near Ryde. Edition 3 of ScooterNova will be published just before the rally and available there too)
Here at ScooterNova magazine we like to do things a little different from the rest. Already many of you know that our ethos is about the scooter, the rider and the journey, and that the magazine itself is a high quality product that many of you kindly inform us is more book-like than a periodical. Well another little thing we have up our sleeve Continue reading
It seems like it will be a bumper year for scooterists entering the custom show at this year’s Isle of Wight scooter rally, should they win of course! Why, we hear you ask? Well along with the regular trophies on Continue reading
It’s a long way off, with many miles to cover before August, but with an end of June deadline on winning AAA tickets, we thought we’d share this early. We haven’t missed many Isle of Wight rallies over the years so it’s interesting to look back at how it’s evolved; from a basic field full of like-minded friends to an island wide festival and (almost) back again. With music festivals almost every weekend in the summer, it’s not just the entertainment that attracts so many. There’s no denying that it certainly is a spectacle to see so many scooters all in one place.
To help us all save our pennies for beer tokens, VFM have sent their Agent Lamb to negotiate a 20% discount with Red Funnel ferries for scooters only when you book online.
Another opportunity for some savings Get to SLUK for a chance to win AAA tickets:
Number 7 in the BSRA Best Supporting Member Championship and rally number 18 in the LCGB Riders Championship, scooter riders from all over will be there to enjoy the sights and the smell of two stroke as our small wheels invade the Isle of Wight this August Bank Holiday.
In just a few weeks it will be Easter and the BSRA (British Scooter Rallies Association) solo rider and club championship for 2016 will start at Whitby National Scooter Rally.
