Vespa Sei Giorni in ScooterNova magazine

The 2017 Vespa GTS 300 Sei Giorni and the 1951 Vespa 125 ‘Sei Giorni’ Racer.

Edition 4 of the new ScooterNova magazine is out now and includes an article on the Vespa 125 ‘Sei Giorni’ Racer.
We reckon this is a very important

scooter for not only Vespa but other brands too, something as scooter enthusiasts that we have all benefitted from since.

Earlier in October 2017, Piaggio invited ScooterNova magazine out to Varese to test ride the new Vespa GTS 300 ‘Sei Giorni’, the company’s tribute to their own racing heritage. You can read about Andy’s test ride of the new Vespa on the SLUK website (he also got to ride some of the ISDT route too!).

We first wrote about the Sei Giorni on the ScooterNova blog back in 2013 when we discovered some old photos in an old Vespa Club d’Italia diary. You can read more here.

Ā For the latest article in ScooterNova magazine, we spent a lot of time researching the original machines further (involving a bit of translation!) and discovered some very interesting details about them that are hard to come by in English. Hopefully this will help dispel some of the myths surrounding the original Racers, such as what the hole beneath the rear brake pedal is actually for!

We really enjoyed creating this article in particular and hope you enjoy it too. And if it enlightens you at all, please remember where you read it first! šŸ˜‰
